High School Counselors
We know how important it is for high school counselors to visit Georgia Tech to better understand what we have to offer your students and to help you share more about Tech with them. There are several options available to you for a visit:
- Daily Campus Visits
Our typical daily campus visit includes a freshman information session given by an admission counselor followed by a one-hour campus walking tour. This session is the best way to hear what Georgia Tech has to offer and learn more about the nuts and bolts of our application process. On many days, you could also attend a tour and/or information session for a specific college. - Preview Georgia Tech
Preview Georgia Tech is a large, one-day open house for prospective families that high school counselors are also welcome to attend at no cost. During this event, you will have the opportunity to take a campus tour, speak with academic departments, get to know our students and see the ways in which Georgia Tech supports its students. If you have a day to spend on campus, this is a great way to do it! - Transfer Information Session
As Georgia Tech becomes increasingly competitive for freshman admission, you may find yourself having more and more conversations with students and parents about transfer options. This one-hour session should help you feel much more comfortable covering this part of the Tech admission process, as it covers the application process, admission requirements and campus resources for transfer students.
While on campus you may want to meet with your admission counselor to get to know him/her better and ask any questions in follow-up to the session you have attended. Please contact your counselor to set up an appointment while you are on campus. We hope you will understand that during our peak file review season, we may not be able to accommodate all requests for individual appointments.
