Dual Enrollment Application and Admission

Application Steps

  1. Complete and submit your Georgia Tech Dual Enrollment Application. You will find the application linked here when it is available. Application availability dates are listed below.

  2. Submit your high school transcript. Applicants for spring and summer semesters should send transcripts that include courses and grades from the most recently completed semester. Applicants for fall semester must send transcripts that include the spring semester they are finishing at the time of application.

  3. Submit your ACT, PSAT, or SAT scores. You may self-report ACT or SAT on your admission application or in your admission portal. You may self-report PSAT in your admission portal. Official scores are required for admitted students.

  4. Submit AP test results if needed to fulfill pre-requisites for courses you wish to take. Distance Math Year One requires results from AP Calculus BC. Distance Computer Science 1331 requires AP Computer Science A results if students would like to take this class without taking CS 1301.

Enrollment Documents

Students who are offered admission must submit the following enrollment documents:

  • Dual Enrollment Confirmation form, which will be linked on your application checklist on your admission portal.

  • Dual Enrollment Funding Application if participating in Georgia’s dual enrollment program.

    • The state of Georgia requires male students between the ages of 18 and 25 be registered with the United States Selective Service to qualify for state aid programs, including funding for dual enrollment. If you are male and are 18 or will turn 18 while enrolled with us, be sure to register for Selective Service.

  • Self-Pay Course Approval Form for any students who will participate in dual enrollment but will not use state funding to pay for their courses.

  • Verification of Lawful Presence in the United States.

  • Immunization records (only for students taking dual enrollment classes on the main Tech campus).

How Your Application is Reviewed

The undergraduate admissions process identifies applicants who will benefit from the Georgia Tech learning environment and enrich the entire student body. The Admission Committee considers the following criteria in our holistic admission process:

  • High school and college courses

  • Grades

  • SAT or ACT results

  • AP test results

Competitive Admission Policy for Dual Enrollment Applicants

The Georgia Institute of Technology is a top-ranked public university determined to define the technological research university of the 21st century. Each year Georgia Tech must make fine distinctions among large numbers of highly qualified applicants. The ability to assess consistently all information presented in the application becomes increasingly important. Therefore, the Office of Undergraduate Admission employs a rigorous review process in order to provide an individualized evaluation of every application.

Each applicant is assessed on the basis of achievements and potential in a broad range of academic categories, viewed in the context of the opportunities and challenges the applicant faced. These categories include:

  • Strength of educational performance, as measured by the nature and rigor of high school curriculum and academic achievements.

  • Potential for academic success, as evidenced by performance on nationally normed standardized tests.

  • Need for courses in subjects exhausted in the local high school curriculum.
